Michael Jung joined the Office of General Counsel in December 2019. Prior to joining NC State, Mike was at UNC Greensboro (2011-2019) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2001-2011), where he provided counsel on issues relating to intellectual property, sponsored research, technology licensing, procurement, and technology-related matters. Mike received his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, and a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Mike is an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) and currently serves on the Editorial Board of NACUA NOTES. Mike’s primary areas of practice include research compliance, technology transfer, business transactions, and data security.
